GROUP HIRE

Our vehicles are available to local community groups/non-profit organisations whose activities are concerned with social welfare, recreation, cultural or similar purposes. You must be a member of FACT to use this service and the cost of annual membership is £15.00.

Our vehicle seating capacity ranges from 12-16 (maximum passengers that can be carried under section 19 minibus permit). Along with conventional seats, most of our vehicles are adapted to accommodate wheelchair passengers, through the aid of a lift and specialist equipment i.e. wheelchair restraints clamps, selt belts etc. However the amount of available seating will be determined by the number of passengers in your group who use mobility aids, this will apply to users of manual or electric wheelchairs and scooters as the space allocated in the vehicle for the wheelchairs/scooters to be secured will reduce the number of fixed seats. Other mobility equipment, such as walking frames, folded wheelchairs etc occupies space in the minibus when stored for the journey and it is vital that such aids are not allowed to compromise door or gangways or to block emergency exits. We ask that any mobility equipment to be brought on board be specified in advance in order to avoid problems relating to space and overloading the vehicle.

Our charges are currently based on a mileage rate and have been set with affordability/flexibility in mind. There is a cancellation fee of £25.00 if you cancel within 7 days of hire.

This is a pre-bookable service and we ask that you book in advance, (we are unable to take same day booking). We are able to provide journeys at weekends but ask for as much notice as possible as we can not guarantee driver availability. We require a 25% advance payment to secure the booking. To book, simply telephone us on 01354 661234, email info@cotransport.org or write to us in advance.

When booking please be ready to quote your; membership number, date and time required, number of passengers - walking/wheelchair users, pick-up point/destination and any special requirements/instructions.
